Introduction:
Pakistan is a developing country and
development without advancement in the field of “Science and Technology” is not
viable. All the developed countries of Europe, America and Australia have used
the knowledge and research of “Science and Technology” as a tool and pillar for
socio-economic development and industrial revolution. Therefore, in order to
take Pakistan on the track of socio-economic development and to accomplish the
goals of bright Pakistan, it is necessitate of modern era to make valuable
progress and realistic advancements in “Science and Technology”.
COMSTATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) is always sentient of its errands regarding progression of “Science
& Technology” in academia and research. Keeping in view the significances of
“Science and Technology” for advancement and encroachment, CIIT-Vehari has
launched an international journal titled “International Poster Journal of
Science & Technology (IPJST)” aiming at
rapid online poster publications and to keep concerned scholars up-to-date of
latest innovation in stated field.
To strengthen the objectives and missions of CIIT and HEC, Department of Environmental & Energy Engineering, CIIT-Vehari Campus is organizing the first national conference on “Advancements in Science & Technology” in collaboration with Biomass Conversion Research Centre (BCRC) Vehari Chapter and CIIT-Islamabad.
ASTech-2012 focuses on inter-linked, multidisciplinary issues related to Engineering and Technology for Nation’s development
