Hostels
Separate hostel for female and male students is available. The
hostel extends standard facilities including messing, bedding,
television and internet. Hostels are supervised and managed by
COMSATS administration. Faculty hostel is another silent
feature.
The Student Hostel was triggered
in the year 2011 by the CIIT Vehari administration tests with
the objective of improving the residential life of students and
contributing towards the growth of a positive, constructive
community environment at the hostels. The purpose of Hostel is
to have extensive contact with residents, serving as liaisons
and resource persons for the campus community. Hostel residents
promote the integration of all aspects of campus life and assist
in establishing supportive communities for residential students
that create opportunities for residents to meet their own and
the University’s educational objectives. Clear and frequent
communication between the Hostel Fellows, the Hostel
Administration and the campus community is critical for the
success of the residential life program.
Creating a positive community with the residents is the main
focus of the Hostel Administration.
Some examples of what hostel residents should include:

Act as a resource for questions, issues and concerns.
·
Counsel students with personal, social and academic problems.
·
Organize activities within the hostels that encourage
interaction between residents and allow them to express their
talents and interests in a constructive manner.
·
Encourage students to seek out professors and instructors when
academic difficulties occur.
·
Manage and advice on conflicts between residents.
·
Monitor safety and discipline in the hostels.
·
Act as a liaison between the Hostel
Facilities
·
Currently at CIIT Vehari, there are male and
female hostels for students/faculty/staff. Student Hostel
consists of carpeted common rooms, where students socialise and
watch TV in their free time, sports room, kitchen, and common
washrooms.
·
Rooms are shared by three students and have three
single cots, study tables, cupboard etc.
·
Internet facility is available to all students in
hostels; they just need to connect their computers via wi-fi.
·
For the students there is Student Committee whose
objective is to take care of every hostel resident issues in
most appropriate way.
·
Students are safe at hostels, as it is within the
hostel premises, we have good security measures to deal with all
emergencies while for the rest of issues are safe guarded by
hostel fellows.
·
Generator facility is also provided to the
students with the condition of bearing its expenses.
Hostel Admission Criteria
These are following Steps in Hostel Admission Procedure:
1.
Admissions forms to be given to students and other
employees that Interested in availing hostel facility.
2.
All interested students and employees need to submit
filled admission forms with required documents (mentioned on
hostel admission form) for further processing.
3.
All interested Students merit prepared on the basis of
aggregate marks and admission those Students that are in merit
list.
4.
Allotment of rooms done by hostel Warden to all students
and other employees.
5.
Hostel Rules and Regulation undertaking forms must be
signed from all residents, and residents need to submit signed
undertaking form to Hostel.
