Faculty Development Program

Teaching Curricula and Ethical Training

The Curricula and training programs for CIIT are designed keeping in view:

• The provision of ethical responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness and making teachings of Islam – a passion and tolerance.

• The thrust and trends in computer science, IT & Management Sciencess.

• The skills that match the market needs for manpower.

• The measures to develop liaison with industry not only by solution of their problems but also in terms of students’ internship.

• Technical and major electives are to be taught in depth so as to prepare students for research and development.

Research

The research activities of the faculty includes the following:

• To establish one centre of excellence in areas/sub areas of computer science under CS department of each and every campus depending upon the feasibility.
   

• To establish excellence center of Management Sciences in Southern Punjab under faculty of Business Administration

• We plan to establish a research center for open source tools and technologies by the end of 2014.

• We plan to have research in the area of entrepreneurship in linkage with service sector of the area by the end of 2012

• The faculty should be autonomous in funds in general and the research supervisors should have autonomy of research funds brought by them in particular. 
   

• Motivating the faculty to start new research projects.
